After consideration of the Fraser Health guidelines and Scotdance Canada recommendations, we have established the following COVID-19 procedures for Celtica Highland Dance School.
Please take the time to read these carefully and communicate them with your dancer.
Self Monitoring
It is imperative that dancers not attend class if they have:
Shown any of the following symptoms within the past 14 days: cough, sore throat, fever, chills, shortness of breath, chest tightness, muscle pain (of unknown cause), fatigue, new loss of taste or smell.
Been in contact with someone who has a positive COVID-19 diagnosis within the last 14 days
If a dancer is dropped off at class and exhibits any of the above symptoms, a parent will be called to pick up the dancer. Thank you for understanding.
Entering and Exiting Willoughby Hall
Please drop off and pick up your dancer without entering the hall. All parents and siblings should remain in the parking lot. Only dancers will be allowed in the hall.
Drop off: dancers will enter the front entrance, facing 208th.
Pick up: dancers will exit the side entrance, facing the main parking lot.
Dancers will be released five minutes prior to the end of their class through the side door. Please be on time to pick up your dancer.
Jen will open the front door and dancers will be allowed to enter the hall at the time of their class, not beforehand. Please remain in your vehicle or line up at least two meters apart before class. The kitchen area will not be used as a waiting room.
All dancers are required to sanitize their hands when entering and exiting the building. There will be sanitizer available at both doors.
Masks & Attire
Dancers are highly encouraged to wear a mask when entering and exiting the hall.
Jen will wear a face covering during all class transitions and if moving throughout the hall. When instructing the dancers from the front of the hall with greater two meters distance, Jen will remove her mask.
Dancers should arrive ready to start class with dance clothes and shoes on prior to entering the hall. Please limit the items brought into the hall to a water bottle and jacket.
Physical Distancing
Dancers are asked to keep a safe distance from others. The BCCDC recommends at least two metres.
Resting between dances: Dancers will stay in their personal space for the duration of the class and are asked not to sit on the stage between dances.
Washroom: only one dancer in the washroom at one time.
Thank you for doing your part to create a healthy, safe dance environment! We can't wait to get back to in-person dance classes and see you soon!
